This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

We love Bayleaf! I had my baby shower in their private back room and it was perfect. The food is consistently excellent and the service is always perfect. Terence helped organize the event and was available for all our questions. They make you feel like family! So so nice and so delicious.

Bay Leaf is hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in NJ, and the saag paneer is top tier and one of the best Iβve had. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every dish. I ordered my meal with a medium spice level, and it was perfectly balanced. The mango chutney was delicious, and the cheese naan was something special. Every bite was outstanding. The service is just as impressive as the food. Everyone on staff is welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. A special shout-out to Max, our waiter, who made our experience even better with his attentive and friendly service. Iβve also attended my sister-in-lawβs bridal shower here, and they did an exceptional job hosting the event. The spread of food served as a buffet was just as delicious. The service and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. Bay Leaf consistently delivers amazing food, excellent hospitality and affordable prices. Itβs a place Iβll happily return to again and again.

Bay Leaf Indian Cuisine is hands down our favorite, favorite, favorite restaurant. Weβve been coming here for the past four years, and the food is always consistently delicious. Our absolute favorite appetizer is the Lasuni Gobhi- itβs tossed in a flavorful red garlic sauce, perfectly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and tastes amazing β honestly addictive! The Manchow soup is fantastic, and we also love the paneer tikka tandoori β always fresh and full of flavor. Donβt miss the dal makhani and the naan, which is truly to die for. What we really appreciate is that itβs not overly expensive, the portions are generous, and itβs a lovely place to enjoy a meal without spending a lot. Terence, the manager, is an amazing human being β weβve really formed a bond over the years. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and makes every visit special. We keep coming back almost every week or at least every couple of weeks!

It was our first time at Bayleaf after a recommendation from a friend. The entire experience was great and the food was amazing! We ordered Black Pepper Chicken, Aloo Papdi Chat, Paneer Pakoda, Chana Saag, Malai Kofta, Kadai Paneer and assorted breads. Great ambience and a good place to go nearby. Our initial papadi chaat was soft and after we pointed out they gladly made a fresh plate! Chicken, Paneer Pakodas, Chana Saag and Makai Kofta were our favs.
